Marriott Theatre will hold an open dance call for union and non-union dancers/singers on Monday, October 30th, and Tuesday, October 31st.
Seeking performers with strong ballet and theatre jazz training. Dance call for AEA and non-AEA male-identifying dancers will take place at 9am on Monday, October 30th, at the Marriott Theatre Rehearsal Warehouse (1342 Barclay Blvd, Buffalo Grove, 60089). Dance call for AEA female-identifying dancers will take place at 10am on Tuesday, October 31st at the Lincolnshire Academy of Dance (1260 Milwaukee Ave # 200, Vernon Hills, IL 60061). Non-AEA female-identifying dancers will be seen at 1:30pm on Tuesday, October 31st, also at the Lincolnshire Academy of Dance.
Seeking locally based dancers/singers only at this time (must have housing in the Chicagoland area). All ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition. No performers under 18 are being seen at this time.
Bring ballet and dance shoes (no sneakers), and be prepared to start with a ballet combination. Bring one 16 bar song (equivalent to one minute in length) and a second contrasting selection in case the artistic team needs to hear more. Please bring music in your key and an updated H/R. An accompanist will be provided.
