Hampstead Stage Company is currently seeking 4-6 non-union, versatile men for their summer tour of Pinocchio & Beauty and the Beast and Signature Series production, Frankenstein. HSC, founded in 1983, produces educational tours that are performed by two actors, each playing multiple roles. Our scripts are original, one-hour long adaptations, based directly on literary classics. HSC travels to schools, libraries, community centers, and theatres all over the United States.

Beauty and the Beast is a classic French tale that tells the story of a young girl, Beauty, who is sent by her father to live in a beautiful palace with an outwardly terrifying beast. The Beast must help Beauty to discover his inner beauty and to help her to break the spell that has kept him locked in his beastly state. This story explores themes of family, sacrifice, trust, and love.

Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio is the timeless tale of an Italian woodcarver, Geppetto, who carves a son out of a block of pine. Join the wooden marionette on his journey to become a real boy! Through many mischievous adventures, Pinocchio discovers that to be human is to be good-hearted and brave.

DATES: Summer Rehearsals - May 21-June 11, 2017. Summer Tour - June 12-August 6, 2017
Rehearsals are unpaid and are held in Center Barnstead, New Hampshire. Pay is $300 per week while on tour.
Actors should be comfortable playing a wide variety of ages and genders.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a classic tale that explores Victor Frankenstein's maddening journey of creation and failure. Dr. Frankenstein, delirious from chasing his creation across the world, recounts his tragic past as a warning to humanity. This dark tale comes to life with a spark, revealing the truth behind Dr. Frankenstein's creation and the irreversible horrors that unfold quickly after. This production of Frankenstein is "alive" and certain to leave you with chills, pondering the question: "Who really is the monster?" We are particularly seeking a strong male actor of any ethnicity, 6 feet or taller to play the Monster/Creature.

DATES: Frankenstein Rehearsals (may be held in Chicago) - September 17-October 1, 2017. Frankenstein Tour - October 2-November 1, 2017. Rehearsals are unpaid and are held in Center Barnstead, New Hampshire. Pay is $300 per week while on tour.

Auditions will be held at Theatre Momentum's The Pendulum Space, 1803 West Byron Street, Suite 216

All ethnicities strongly encouraged to submit. At this time, all female positions have been cast.

Material To Prepare:
Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues totaling no more than 3 minutes. Materials do not need to be appropriate for children.
