The Dynamics of Do-Gooders by Alonzo Lamont Jr.

Characters:
Verna Mae Williams| 40-ish African-American woman. President, the Greater Shiloh Community Association.Modestly dressed, takes pride in her appearance. Stickler for details. Gentle, but no-nonsense.
Charlene Dobbs| 60-ish. African-American woman. Member, Greater Shiloh Community Association. Somewhat heavyset. Blue collar. Moves somewhat deliberately, she's spent many years working on her feet
Lynette St. Clair| Mid 20's-Early 30's, African-American woman. Loves the sound of her voice. Articulate. Demonstrative. Very educated. Secretary, the Greater Shiloh Community Association
Jesse Winthrop| Mid-40's, Caucasian, birkenstocks with multi-colored socks. Definitely a farmer's-market-pushing-the-kid's-wagon type. Member, the Ravenswood Community Association
Doris Wheeler| Mid-40's, Caucasian, conservatively well-dressed. President, Ravenswood Community Association.
Janette Zarathrustra| Mid-40's, Caucasian, slender wellness-yoga instructor-esque physique. Always has her water bottle with some green concoction at her side. Member, Ravenswood Community Association.

Brad Pitt's My Bitch by Nayna Agrawal
Directed by Paige Mesina
GAIL LEE: 61. 4th gen Chinese American, non-profit leader but so NOT warm and fuzzy. Intentional in everything she does to the point that you wonder if she's a robot.
VICTOR WONG: 52. Chinese immigrant, lumber business owner in New Orleans, lives for his immediate family and his dead parents' approval.
HUMIDITY: 100000000 OR TIMELESS, IS ALWAYS MISTY. Flexible in race and gender. Humidity personified. Maybe they look damp and sweaty all the time or maybe they are constantly emitting moisture into the air. Humidity is despised by all at worst, tolerated at best: so, super insecure and wants to be liked.
KANAD LOMBARD: 39. Native Louisianan (like Humidity), Black, former Mayor of New Orleans. Like Gail, goes big or goes home. Unlike Gail, in it for himself first.
CLARION FIELDS: 29. Young in the face, old in spirit, Black. Katrina, poverty and injustice have taken their toll. She's fighting against herself more than anyone else
PAH PAH: 60s. Clarion's father, Black. Always stood on his own two feet, until he couldn't.
Rehearsals:
Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24th from 6-9pm (location TBD)
