Musical theater is always trying to reinvent itself because inventiveness is exciting. And theaters like a schtick for making money. Storefront theater CORN productions has decided we need to find the edge, the next big thing... The Best Musical Ever! Surely there must be an original idea out there if we put enough brave, and amazingly silly minds together.
Corn Productions is seeking musical theater performers with strong comedic chops for this musical comedy show. This show will function mostly with an ensemble cast, so versatility and ability to play is a plus!
Auditions: 5/16/26 1-4:30pm
Callbacks: 5/19/26 6:30-10pm
Compensation: $50 stipend
Rehearsal dates: Rehearsals will be determined by actor availability, all rehearsals will be in the evenings from 7-10 Monday-Thursday or during the day on Saturday and Sunday. Rehearsal period is from May 30th-June 30th. There will be approximately 3-4 rehearsals a week, but all actors will not be needed at all rehearsals.
Tech dates: July 6th-9th
Performance dates: Fridays and Saturdays from July 10th to August 1st. Call time 6:30PM.
Please prepare a 32 bar cut of a musical theater song from any era, preferably comedic (or a comedic interpretation). We will not have a live accompanist, feel free to bring a speaker, or we can play your track through the theater system. You may be asked to tell a brief, funny story as well.
