SMC (Shakespeare's Motley Crew) is requesting audition submissions for our 14th year of Midsummer Mayhem.

MM is a short series of Shakespeare scenes highlighting a central theme (this year "The King and the Fool") performed in parks around the north side, free to the audience. MM is an ensemble piece with lots of fights, music and movement. As we aren't restricted by full scripts, we're often unconventional in our casting. We assign parts after the first read.

Performances are Saturdays and Sundays from July 18 to August 22. Performances are in Independence Park, Winnemac Park and Gross Park on Henderson. We will have a table read the week of June 1. Rehearsals begin June 8. We are seeking all ages and types. SMC offers a stipend.
