
Auditions for Aurora University's Spartan Stage's production of Speak On It. This play is meant to bring awareness to the mental health stigma in the Black community. This play focuses on two Black teenagers (and their families) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and self-depreciation.
General Auditions will be held in the Black Box Studio at Aurora University (Stephens Hall). 349 S Gladstone Ave, Aurora, IL 60506
General Auditions will be February 20th & February 21st at 6pm. Callbacks will be February 21st after initial callbacks. If you are interested in auditioning, please sign up using the link attached.
If you are unable to audition in-person, feel free to email your audition to rogancorri0702@gmail.com to send in your virtual audition.
Please come prepared with a dramatic one-minute monologue (that is memorized!)
Sides will be provided for callback auditions!
Come with a headshot (if you have one) or be prepared to have your headshot taken. If you have a theatre resume, feel free to bring/attach it. If not, no worries!
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as we will be moving around!
Pay: there's a stipend of $50 at the end of the production.
Rehearsals will start on FEBRUARY 24th!
Rehearsals will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7-9pm.
TECH WEEK WILL BE APRIL 21st - April 23rd (actors will not be called until April 22nd)
