The Factory Theater is seeking actors for both main cast and understudy roles for Kitty James and Destiny's Trail to Oregon written by Phil Claudnic and directed by Jennifer Betancourt. We are seeking actors of all sizes, ethnicities, abilities, and gender identities to submit. All roles are open ethnicity and age and while some roles currently fall within the binary, we encourage all actors to submit for the roles they are most interested in regardless of gender.

Show Description: Kitty James, the Coffee Queen of Independence, MO, is heading West to find her fortune, but a mysterious medallion and an ancient prophecy may lead her down a different path in this hilarious homage to classic adventure films and text-based historical games.

Characters:
KITTY JAMES (this role has already been cast but we are seeking an understudy) - Femme-Identifying; The heroine--Indiana Jones type. After tiring of adventuring, she's ready to hang up the bullwhip and move her coffee venture out west.

NORRIS - Masc-Identifying; Businessperson in Independence, MO with a penitent for organization. Infatuated with Kitty.

MANGY WILLY - Masc-Identifying; An orphan who wandered into Independence, MO from the wilderness. Considers Kitty their chosen guardian.

DEDE (aka DEAD) - Any/All Genders; One of Kitty's helpers with regressive childlike behavior. Papa's child and inseparable twin with a cultish dedication to completing the prophesy.

WYATT (aka WEIGHT) - Any/All Genders; One of Kitty's helpers with regressive childlike behavior. Papa's child and inseparable twin with a cultish dedication to completing the prophesy.

URSULA - Femme-Identifying; Papa's third child, recently arrived in Independence, MO and fallen in love with Reginald. Headstrong and haunted by her recent past.

REGINALD - Masc-Identifying; Citizen of Independence, MO. A dandy, charming, very capable huntsman. A Confident doofus in love with Ursula.

PAPA- Idiosyncratic historian who lives in Oregon. Has a natural menace and intensity.
TOWNSPERSON 1 - Face/voice in the crowd in Independence, MO.
LACKIE 1- nameless worker in Ursula's wagon party

MAYOR- Mayor of Independence. Appears charismatic, thinks they know how to give a speech.
