Oil Lamp Theater is seeking submissions for strong Actor/Singers for its productions of A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play by Charles Dickens, Adapted for the stage by Joe Landry with music by Kevin Connors. Elizabeth Mazur Levin, OLT Artistic Director, will direct. The show will run from November 21-December 29. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm (November 21-December 8) and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm, Wednesdays at 2pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm (December 11-December 29). There are two additional matinees at 2pm on Wednesday, December 4 and Thurs Dec 12. There are no performances on Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas.

A Christmas Carol
This Charles Dickens holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s live radio broadcast. A handful of actors bring dozens of characters to the stage, as the familiar story unfolds: Three ghosts take Ebenezer Scrooge on a thrilling journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas (Playscripts).

Specifically seeking a diverse cast of strong actor/singers:

FREDDIE FILMORE - 40s-60s. Plays Ebenezer Scrooge (and others)

JAKE LAURENTS - 20s-50s. Plays Marley, Ghost of Christmas Present (and others)

HARRY "JAZZBO" HAYWOOD - 20s-50s. Plays Bob Cratchit, Young Scrooge, Fezziwig (and others)

SALLY APPLEWHITE - 20s-50s. Plays Belle, Mrs. Fezziwig, Mrs. Cratchit (and others).

LANA SHERWOOD - 20s-50s. Plays the Ghost of Christmas Past (and others)

Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, October 1 and are typically held from 7:00-10:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays from 10:00am-1:00pm until tech which begins on Saturday, November 16.

Initial auditions will be by invitation only, and will be via video submission.

Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held on Monday, August 5th beginning at 7:00pm at the theater located at 1723 Glenview Rd. in Glenview.

Compensation will be $1200.
