Are You Smarter Than Your 8th Grade Nun? Reviews

"...There newest show by Vicki Quade also stars the M.C. Nancy Greco, is loosely based on the TV show Who Wants to be a millionaire but is more like Who wants to get out of Purgatory. The show takes place in a reconstructed schoolroom that you would have found in most Catholic schools in the 40, 50, and 60’s. Set Designers Scott Flores and Jason Shivers, did an excellent job recreating this, down to the faux linoleum floor. There are plenty of questions in the beginning thrown out to the audience to try and get 4 contestants to play. And the nice thing, a lot of audience participation of using children to help with sound affects and with keeping score. This is a show you can bring the whole family too. Ans the prizes are all things that you would have found back in the 60’s."

"...“Are You Smarter Than Your 8th Grade Nun” isn’t a play with a plot. It’s a fun-filled interactive game of Trivial Pursuit that pits volunteer audience members against the Sister in charge. The event is comforting, low-key, full of mirth and lots of fun for everyone. Jokes are told, amazing, obscure facts are revealed and prizes are awarded. No one leaves empty-handed or unacknowledged. It’s an evening or afternoon that brings back fond memories of being back in grammar school, Catholic or otherwise. So take heart: pray, hope and don’t worry. A stress-free quiz bowl frolic awaits one and all."
