"...Andújar mixes music, comedy, and even a radio-style soap opera at one point to explore the story of mother-daughter rage, using it as a sharp analog to the crabs-in-the-barrel conditions of people living under tyrants. The different styles of performance here never feel at odds, and it's a tribute to the directors and the ensemble that the tonal shifts come through so effectively. Santos, so compelling in Aguijón's La Gran Tirana three years ago, gets a chance to show off her incendiary pipes here as well. It's a smart and unsettling production that's arrived right on time."

"...The "Greek Chorus" is portrayed by two highly talented and energetic performers, Helene ( Haydee Delgado) and Swain ( Stefanie Jara). These two are funny, sing, move props around and work very hard in keeping the flow of action. Agamemon is played byAugusto Anacopulos and his character pretends to be dead to allow the women of his life to sort it out. His return changes the story. The other performers in this saga are the Comodoro (Ramon Smith) and Egisto ( well played by Sandor Menendez, who also take son th erole of the narrator for the soap opera parody)."
