iO Theater in Chicago

iO Theater, founded by comedic icon Del Close and Charna Halpern in 1981, is one of the key pillars of the country's improv community. It has launched the careers of innumerable comedy legends. Today iO Theater is located at 1501 N Kingsbury St., just south of North Avenue and west of Halsted Street. It offers four stages from 75 to 150 seats, improv classes, corporate trainings, and a full bar and kitchen. Most importantly, it offers a new, funny experience every night.
