"...The acting is wooden during the exposition, cloying in family scenes, and whiny at the climax. Director Tony Adams tries to spice things up now and then with anachronistic pop songs ("Norwegian Wood" is a nice nod to Ibsen's homeland) and some of the most bizarrely gratuitous nudity I've ever seen."

"...there is a slight silver lining to this review of “The Wild Duck.” Halcyon, in their noble efforts towards accessibility in the arts, reserves a significant number of seats to each of their performances to be no-cost, first-come first-served tickets for anyone who arrives to claim them. And let me be clear: I am not bringing this up to make some snarky, final comment about how this makes “The Wild Duck” “worth the price of admission” or something. I’m saying it because, while I can’t recommend the show on its $20 price tag, I’m saying simply that the good people at Halcyon deserve audiences. It’s just that the show they created isn’t very good."
