"...So - this "Shrew" may be a little too tame. But by play's end, Mootz and Crosthwaite do a fine job of letting us in on the joke that Kate and Petruchio's simpler friends miss. By pretending to lose herself with Petruchio, this Kate has won a measure of the freedom and love she has always been denied. It's enough to almost make you believe that the sky really is tumbling down - even on a night when the weather is behaving itself."

"...Likewise, Daniella Pereira transforms Kate's more agreeable but often less interesting sister, Bianca, into something feisty and fascinating. Not all of the casting in this show is as successful, and some of the physical bits are Jerry Lewis awful. But the fire is there, and that's enough to carry the show."
