The Rubenstein Kiss

The Rubenstein Kiss

The Greenhouse Theater Center
2257 N Lincoln Avenue Chicago

Spanning over three decades, The Rubenstein Kiss addresses one of the most controversial domestic events of the 20th century with a mixture of intimate tenderness and the harsh reality of the interrogation room. In the '40s Jacob and Esther develop a vision for the future. In the '50s, David and Rachel make a decision that will rend their family forever. In the '70's, Matthew and Anna struggle to find the truths in each of their enigmatic pasts. What emerges is a portrait of the elastic endurance of familial love, personal loyalty, and political passions that is not to be missed.
