The Judas Kiss

The Judas Kiss

Stage 773
1225 W Belmont Ave Chicago

With Oscar Wilde facing trial on indecency charges in 1895, all of London has the salacious taste of scandal on its lips. Though he could have fled, Wilde's equally scandalous lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, persuades him to stay. After two years in prison, Wilde emerges, broken but determined to reunite with his libertine lover. The Judas Kiss is an exploration of betrayal at the hands of those we trust with our hearts and secrets. It asks whether new beginnings are possible -- even at the end.
