The Housekeeper

The Housekeeper

Royal George Theatre
1641 N. Halsted Chicago

In the offbeat comedy The Housekeeper, a stuffy novelist floundering after the death of his domineering mother brings on a cleaning lady to look after his large Victorian house -- and also himself. However, this new housekeeper happens to be one of the world's great oddballs, arriving on her first day wearing sneakers and carting her belongings around in a grocery cart. From there, things go quickly awry in this lighthearted study of the privileged and the underprivileged at Chicago's Royal George Theatre.
