The Faculty Lounge at Oil Lamp Theater

It's the most mythical room on any high school campus, a forbidden zone where teachers can cut loose and no students are allowed to venture: The faculty lounge. That's both the setting and the name of playwright Teri Foltz's new comedy, where five teachers relax, vent their frustrations and share thoughts, hopes and insecurities that they'd never dream of uttering in a classroom. The stories of five students weave in and out of the teachers' tales, as the educators' memories of their own high school experiences blend with their present day careers. The Faculty Lounge is a hilarious and heartfelt peek into the minds of the people who spend eight hours a day teaching our kids, and it's coming to the Oil Lamp Theater in Glenview.
