Point and Shoot Reviews
Chicago Reader- Highly Recommended
"...The play smartly refuses to fall into stereotypes about love and sex back in those days, choosing to explore the characters' nuances and hidden wants instead. Beautiful projections from Paul Deziel provide an apt canvas for that exploration. Fruend and Cold Basement Dramatics give us a remarkable trueish drama—a testament to the act of creating art and all the joy and pain that follow."

"...If Cold Basement Dramatics had asked me to list ten denotative facts about Point and Shoot immediately following the performance Sunday, I probably would not have passed. If I had not looked in the program, I would not have known California was the setting. I would not have known how much “narrative time” passed during the play’s hour-and-fifteen-minute run time. And I probably could not have given a very good point-by-point plot-summary. As I keep mulling it over, I connect Point and Shoot with one word: blurry. I like that."
