Based on a True Story at Under The Gun Theater

"There are eight million stories in the big city ... " and Based on a True Story is devoted to digging out the funniest, most interesting tales of the lot. The show's rotating cast interviews noteworthy citizens of Chicagoland and then goes about improvising scenes based on their stories, creating impromptu comedy from the stuff of real life. Every night's different, with each show featuring a fresh set of eight players from the Under the Gun Ensemble. Kevin Mullaney, artistic director of the Under the Gun Theater, directs this improvised comedy inspired by the real lives of Chicago's most interesting people.
