An old adage of Friedrich Nietzsche's stakes the claim: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." Taking that adage to heart -- and to the stage -- Out of Disorder features two solo shows from two very strong performers. Hunger Pains, written and performed by Christopher L. Moore, reveals through story and song the intimate details of his struggles as a boy with anorexia in the midst of a medical community that simply didn't know what to do with him. From Ali Clayton comes I'm Different, Not Dumb -- in which she embodies three larger-than-life characters to tell of her time attending a learning disability school, navigating the treacherous path of adolescence to find her way to the stage and the world of stand-up comedy. An inspiring examination of diversity and overcoming adversity, Out of Disorder is a true celebration of strength.
