Jessie Mutz's cast perform too loudly and broadly for such an intimate venue, frequently playing to a nonexistent upper upper balcony when they're so close that we can examine the stitches in the fine costumes designed by Clare Kemock. The result is a messy, noisy production that, oddly enough, feels true to the Cavalier spirit of Behn's world."
