"...If you enjoyed "Forever Plaid," you'll likely appreciate Noble Fool Theatricals' production of its sequel. If you didn't see the original, you might like this even more. The follow-up's main flaw is that too many of the gags come straight out of the first musical. The Christmas version of the complete "Ed Sullivan Show" done in three minutes 11 seconds is still funny, but not as hilarious as it was the first time around."

"...The Noble Fool cast fulfills the “Plaid Tidings” quota of clean cut and enthusiastic young singers. Robert Deason, Sean Effinger-Dean, David Meadows, and Brad Simanski all have solid solo voices and together produce a nice quartet sound in the spirit of the Four Aces, the Four Lads, the Ames Brothers, and other role models from 50 years ago. A few moments of genuine wit leak into the proceedings, most of them improvisations from the performers that indicate the production would have been funnier if the ensemble had been given its head in winging some of the non singing moments."

"...Although the first act is a bit wordy, it's the musical moments that enchant. Old favorites like "Let It Snow," "Home for the Holidays" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas," sung in the close harmonic style of the 1940s and 1950s, will be like a warm trip down memory lane. And Act II's hilariously breathless tribute to "The Ed Sullivan Show" and the ode to Mr. Como, "We Wish You a Perry Christmas" (sung to a black-and-white video tape of the crooner's television special) fill the evening with "Moments to Remember." "...Plaid Tidings is certainly not a great book with a story line that makes people care, but it is a great 2 hours of entertainment and two hours that will bring back some wonderful memories from days gone by. For younger audiences, perhaps it will be just an experience and a lesson in musical hisory. Perry Como, Rosemary Clooney (you know, George's aunt), Harry Belafonte, names people under 30 will have no idea about and songs like " Moments to Remember", "Fever", "Kiss of Fire" and of course the great holiday songs, "Let it Snow", "Mr. Santa", "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and many others. In fact, over 30 songs make this show a wonderful experience for young and old."
