In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Tim Maddock decided to leave L.A. and join the rescue efforts in New Orleans. His experiences there as an animal rescue volunteer form the groundwork for a true story that L. A. Weekly called "raw, moving and darkly humorous."
