OLEANNA is a gripping and riveting drama by David Mamet, and was named one of the best plays of the year in 1992 when it debuted. Carol, a female student visits John, a male professor, to discuss how she failed his course, but the discussion takes awkward turn when accusations of sexual exploitation are raised, threatening her future and his chances for tenure. As the lives of these characters spin out of control, we are confronted with both the effects of carelessness and the dangers of over-sensitivity and being too politically correct.
