"...While there are many good performances, especially Daniel Gilbert as a truly adorable Dogberry, the strength of any Much Ado rests on its Beatrice and Benedick. Daire's Beatrice is less successful in capturing her character's famous wit than she is at conveying the pain and vulnerability that lay behind it. West plays Benedick as a warmhearted party dude. (much the same as he played Feste in Jadhwani's Twelfth Night) Together they seem perhaps not as hilariously clever as Beatrice and Benedick should be but their chemistry makes them quite likable anyway."
