In the Asylum with Edgar Allan Poe
1641 N. Halsted Chicago
Konow recreates Poe's most favored stories and poems from this perspective in a way that has never been done before, challenging madness versus sanity and begging the question: what truly defines madness and what is simply a different way of looking at life? These efforts lead the play into five highly theatrical, fantastical performances of terror and mystery, recreating the famous writer's finest stories: "The Raven," "Silence," "The Bells," "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Tell-Tale Heart."
