"Generation Gap" is the story of Cortney, a young southern-born urban burnout who wants nothing more than to be able to dictate what her life looks like. Her mother, Deborah, springs a surprise visit on Cortney to help her make the "right" life choices, and to inform her that Grandma Caroline is not doing well. Cortney feistily explores her own life and choices in comparison to her mother and grandmother's via a series of imagined flashbacks, each presented in a different genre indicative of the time period.
