"...In theory, the production's an opportunity for grade-schoolers to share stage time with professional actors, but Maggie Portman and J. "Preddie" Predmore's infantile script and simple score don't give anyone—students or mentors—much to work with. It's not clear which age group, if any, is supposed to benefit on the house side of the curtain."
