Ayn Rand in Love Reviews
Chicago Reader- Recommended
"...Here she's the curt, methodical, practical embodiment of the objectivist philosophy she famously championed-everything the easygoing Frank isn't. Still, opposites have a tendency to attract, and even the most conservative folks enjoy "fonding" every once in a while, as Rand likes to say. It makes for some good comedy and even better musical numbers. The show is part of MCL's musical series Premier Premieres."

"...With careful direction, superb casting and spot-on writing, director Shanna Brown crafts a spectacular yet complex comedic musical “Ayn Rand in Love.” The story focuses on a chapter in the life of Ayn Rand (Erika Hakmiller) where she meets Frank O’Connor (Chris Causer),her husband-to-be. Unlike every other character in the play, Ayn is direct, cold and untouched by emotion or fanciful ideas. She exposes Hollywood wannabe superstar Baker (Mitch Conti) and hotshot filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille (Jack Daniel Wright) to her philosophies through her writing, all while trying to ascertain what and who is truly of value to her."
