Black Button Eyes Productions is requesting submissions for adult non-Equity actor/singers of all races, gender identities, and 18+ ages with excellent voices for this Chicago Premiere musical by Jonathan Christiansen, adapted from the life of Edgar Allan Poe. A troupe of seven actors portray Poe and other figures from his life and stories in a dark, supernatural and occasionally comedic take on the life of the famous author and poet.

Pay: $150 stipend for the run of the show; meal provided between shows on two-show Saturdays
First rehearsal will be on November 11, 2017, with rehearsals Sunday-Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons (Fridays always dark) until tech week. Due to the holidays, rehearsals will be on hiatus from 11/22-11/27 and from 12/22-12/26. Tech week begins on Monday, January 1, 2018, with opening night Friday, January 5, 2018. Performances will be Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 3 pm through Sunday January 28, *PLUS* Saturday matinees at 2 pm on Jan 13, Jan 20 and Jan 27. Meal provided between shows on two-show Saturdays.
