Invictus Theatre is auditioning actors for the company's first production-Shakespeare's Othello: The Moor of Venice, directed by Charles Askenaizer

Casting:

The roles of Othello, Desdemona, Roderigo, and Emilia have been precast.

Cassio: 20's-30's male identifying. Lieutenant to Othello. Loyal, attractive, well-groomed and well-mannered.

Iago: late 30's- 60's male identifying. Ensign to Othello, Iago is manipulative, deceitful, jealous, and hates Othello.

Bianca/3rd Gentleman/ Cyprus gallant: 20's-30's female identifying. Bianca is a courtesan (prostitute) and Cassio's lover. Attractive and earthy. Will play multiple roles.

Montano/ Herald/ Sailor: 20's-40's male identifying. Montano is the highly respected and noble Governor of Cyprus. Will play multiple roles.

Brabantio/Cyprus gallant/ Soldier: 40's-60's male identifying. Brabantio is father to Desdemona and powerful senator. He is a pillar of the community and self-important. Will play multiple roles.

Duke/Gratiano/Cyprus Gallant: 40's-60's any gender. The Duke is the fair and level-headed ruler of Venice. Will play multiple roles.

Lodovico/ 1st senator/ 1st gentleman/ Ensemble/: 20's-30's, male identifying. Lodovico is a Venetian nobleman. He is well-spoken, sophisticated and urbane. Will play multiple roles.

Seeking actors with classical experience and strong language skills. Actors of all ethnicities, gender identities, and actors with disabilities are encouraged to submit.

Auditions: Saturday, September 9th from 10-4pm and Sunday, September 10th from 2-7pm
