Characters:
Rudolph- Any Race, Male Identified Actor, Must Read Late Teens/Early 20s. The hero of our piece - a heterosexual transvestite Reindeer who is shamed by his family and community for being different. STRONG SINGER/DANCER.

Herbie- Any Race, Male Identified Actor, Must Read Late Teens/Early 20s. A "not gay enough elf" who just wants to follow his dreams of being a dentist. Doesn't buy into the idea that you have to be a certain way to fit in the LGBTQIA community. STRONG SINGER

Elf/Elves- Any Race, Male or Female Identified Actors, 20s-30s. A group of bitchy, queeny elves obsessed with the gym and keeping up appearances. Think Karen and Gretchen from Mean Girls except more fierce! STRONG SINGERS/DANCERS

Tom Donner/Charlie-in the Box- Any Race, Male Identified Actor, 30s-40s. Rudolph's spineless father. He just wants to impress Santa and is very embarrassed by his son's "behavior." Doubles as Charlie-in-the-Box on the Island of Misfit Toys. STRONG SINGER

Jane Donner/Dolly- Any Race, Female Identified Actor, 30s-40s. Rudolph's mother. She's far more understanding than Tom, but isn't strong enough to stand up to those who belittle her son. Doubles as Dolly - the brassy, diva on the Island of Misfit Toys. STRONG BELTER/DANCER

Coach Comet/King Moon Racer- Any Race, Male Identified Actor, 30s-40s. Clarice's (Rudolph's love interest) Father. He coaches the Reindeer games. Classic creepy gym teacher bully. Doubles as King Moon Racer - the fierce queens who runs the Island of Misfit Toys. STRONG SINGER

Sam, the Snowman- Any Race, Male or Female Identified Actor, Ageless. Our Narrator. A classic storyteller in the tradition of Burl Ives and all Rankin-Bass narrators. Must be a strong storyteller. STRONG SINGER
