Shakespeare All-Stars Auditions for 2017-18 season opener, Comedy of Errors directed by JT Nagle!
Looking for actors with experience in classical text, comedy, and physical storytelling. Musical ability is also a plus. This is going to be a fast paced, exciting, goofy production using the ensemble to create a world that reflects and exaggerates our own.
ALSO looking for versatile actors who can move well and memorize quickly to play a variety of roles in the All-Stars touring ensemble for occasional DAYTIME performances for youth in Chicago and the nearby suburbs. Bonus points if you have stage combat skills, Shakespeare experience, and experience with children.
Rehearsals will begin September 18th with performances Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Oct.27 - Nov. 19 at 7 pm. Paid daytime matinee performance for school field trip, date TBD.
Please prepare 1 Shakespearean monologue (90 seconds maximum) and have a second monologue ready.
