Citadel Theatre is pleased to announce its 2017-2018 non-Equity Season General Auditions. The 2017-2018 season includes: o "ROMEO AND JULIET" by William Shakespeare, directed by Frank Farrell (Summer 2017 production, various outdoor locations). Shakespeare's iconic tragedy about a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families, and the tragic results for the young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, as they are caught in the crosshairs of this feud.

-"LIGHT UP THE SKY" by Moss Hart, directed by Pat Murphy. Moss Hart's classic backstage comedy about an out-of-town opening in Boston and the ups and downs of the theatre and the people who inhabit that world.

-"SCROOGE AND THE GHOSTLY SPIRITS," a world premiere musical by Douglas Post, directed by Scott Phelps. A brand-new holiday musical based on the timeless Charles Dickens' novella that is sure to be a family-friendly event you won't want to miss.

-"SEX WITH STRANGERS" by Laura Eason, directed by Scott Westerman. A two-character drama about lust, love and the complex nature of identity in our digital-dominated era, where the characters must confront the dark side of ambition and the trouble of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away.

-"THE EXPLORERS CLUB" by Nell Benjamin, directed by Robert D. Estrin. London, 1879. The prestigious Explorers Club is in crisis: their acting president wants to admit a woman, and their bartender is terrible. True, this female candidate is brilliant, beautiful, and has discovered a legendary Lost City, but the decision to let in a woman could shake the very foundation of the British Empire.

-"SEX WITH STRANGERS" (2/2/18 - 3/4/18): 1M (late 20s-30); 1F (late 30s-40)

-"THE EXPLORERS CLUB" (4/27/18 - 5/27/18): 6M (30s-50s); 1M (60+); 1M (18-mid 20s); 1F (30-mid 50s)
