Towle Theater seeks strong male & female actors for its upcoming Indiana Premiere of Hypnosis a British Comedic Thriller by David Tristram directed by Mark Baer. Hypnosis: the intoxicating power to implant desires in the subconscious of another. Set in a suburb of London, this thriller tells the story of three complex and intelligent characters engaged in a battle of the mind with $28 million at stake. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Towle Theater in Hammond, IN.

Character Descriptions:
Gordo (M, 50-65), a professional hypnotist, is washed up and performing for dwindling crowds after unethical practices got him expelled from the National Guild. Alcoholic and lonely, Gordo's identity hinges on his ability to tamper with the subconscious of others. His stage bravado hides his insecurity and cowardice.

Alan Briggs (M, 40-55), head of the Criminal Investigation Department for the greater London area, has an infallible plan to switch from cop to criminal. Just one problem: his impending bank heist depends on his wife's unwitting cooperation. After Gordo humiliates him on stage, Alan bullies Gordo into hypnotizing his wife. Smart, callous, macho, and jealous, Alan is obsessed with the execution of his master plan at all costs.

Helen Briggs (F, 30-45), manager of the bank that Alan intends to rob, is a powerful player in these mind games. Constantly underestimated and tired of Alan's mistrust and deception, Helen uses sexual and emotional manipulation to discover plots and control the controllers.
