Description:

PVPN (Progressive Village Performance Network) presents "Fiddler on the Roof".

"Fiddler on the Roof" is a memorable musical set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It is the story of Tevye, the milkman, his family, their traditions and the changes occurring for the Russian Jews. The story follows Tevye, the father of 5 daughters, as he tries to uphold his beliefs in an ever changing political and social landscape. During this period of change for Russian Jews, the family learns to cope with the decline of Tsarist Russia and the tough laws enforced on the family and their village of Anatevka. Life here is as precarious as a fiddler on the roof, yet the villagers endure. PVPN is looking for actors 8 years-old and up! Auditions will be held at the Westmont Community Center on April 3rd at 6:30 pm and April 5th at 6:00pm. Callbacks will be on April 9th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The Community Center is located at 75 East Richmond Street in Westmont.
