The Passion of Boudicca is auditioning for select roles on March 23 and 25, with callbacks on March 30 and April 1.

Auditions will be held at Northshore Baptist Church (5244 N Lakewood Ave, Rm #309)

Compensation: All actors receive a token payment of $50.

Roles Available:
Boudicca [30s or older] - Queen of the Iceni tribe, often called the Queen and Lady of Suffolk. She is inflexible and has little sympathy for others, but is an ardent champion for a just cause. Similar to: Coriolanus (Coriolanus), Queen Margaret (Henry VIs), Titus (Titus Andronicus)

Beatrice [20s or older] - A foundling, enlisted by Princess Maeve to replace her sister in battle. Beatrice earns the queen's admiration by adopting her zealotry. Similar to: Horatio (Hamlet), Benvolio (Romeo & Juliet), Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing)

Ester [20s or older] - A Briton Shepherd in the Leafy Wood. She is the subject of unwanted attentions, and decides to turn this to her amusement. Similar to: Phoebe (As You Like It), Bianca (Taming of the Shrew), Hermia (Midsummer Night's Dream)

Clown (Modred) [Any age] - A Briton vagabond who briefly follows Boudicca's army into battle. A "Contemplative Fool," the Clown comments on the plot more than he participates in it. Similar to: Jaques (As You Like It), Apemantus (Timon of Athens), Thersites (Troilus & Cressida)

PLEASE BE FOREWARNED: This play deals with (among other things), sexual assault. Although no such action occurs onstage, assault does occur during the course of the play, and is discussed frequently. This play involves stage combat (melee weapons), but features no physicalized sexuality onstage.
