The Arc Theatre's annual festival of short new works returns for its 5th year. This year, the theme is "United We Stand". PLAYWRIGHTS: Plays will be chosen based on their unique exploration of the theme. Plays should be no more than 10-15 minutes long and can be in any form or style. Number of actors (2-5 actors preferred, but all plays will be considered) and ease of production will be taken into account in the selection process as limited lighting, sound and set support will be available in the final production. Playwrights will be involved in the rehearsal process in a mutually agreed upon manner with their director. DIRECTORS: Directors will be expected to lead the rehearsal and production process of their particular play within the festival. Some rehearsal space will be provided for each production, as well as designated tech time. Directors can, in collaboration with their cast, schedule additional rehearsal time as needed. A group audition will be facilitated by The Arc, directors may cast from this casting pool in collaboration with other directors, or they may cast the show on their own- provided actors are committed to all rehearsal and production dates prior to the casting deadline.
