The Commission Theatre Co., now in its second season, is seeking submissions for our upcoming round of Season Generals! Who are we?

The Commission Theatre Company is a Shakespeare company with a twist. Each season we will produce fully developed Shakespearean plays, and New Works inspired by those plays. In dedicating ourselves to Shakespeare, we must also encourage the very profession he was immortalizing. Shakespeare is two things: a body of work, and a playwright. We believe to truly honor Shakespeare we must invest time in elevating and developing the playwright. Shakespeare stole from Marlowe, Marlowe stole from Kyd, and all of them stole from popular history. We would like to give new playwrights that same opportunity for theft. Help us bring Shakespeare back to the playwrights.
