Description:

The 2nd Act Players will be holding auditions Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10am to 2pm at its theater at Northminster Church, 2515 Central Park Ave., Evanston.

Seeking to fill eight roles in two one-act plays we will be staging in March. Plays are winners of the 2nd Act Players' 2016 One-Act Script competition.

Play: The Last Days of Wonder
MOTHER, female, 55-75, a terminally ill writer with a storied past, whose vanity can't quite mask her worldly wisdom.
SUE, female, 30-40-ish, the straightforward, acerbic daughter, with whom the mother shares complete openness. Sue is struggling to accept the severity of Mother's condition.
IMOGEN, female, 30-40-ish, Mother's more ethereal daughter, with whom she shares a love for drama. Imogen has accepted the inevitable, and just wants to see her mother kept comfortable.

Play: Falling into Macy
CATHERINE - Mid-40s to mid-50s, professional type.
JOSEPH - Mid-40s to mid-50s professional type.
MACY - Around 30 or slightly younger, unexplained female persona.
JOE - 30s to mid-40s, professional type.
ALISON - 30s to mid-40s, professional/artistic type.

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals start mid-January, tentatively Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings weekly, shows opens March 4 runs Fridays-Sundays, through March 26 (except for opening on Saturday the first weekend). Actors must have own transportation to reach Evanston for rehearsals and shows. Please only ask to audition if you can fully commit to the show rehearsal and performance schedule.
