Description:

Produced by Nothing Without a Company and directed by Jake Fruend, The Kid Thing takes place at a dinner party between two lesbian two lesbian couples, and the unexpected announcement of one couple's pregnancy manages to rock both relationships. Darcy and Leigh find themselves confronting the delayed conversation of having kids of their own following Nate and Margot's pregnancy announcement. A chance visit brings Margot's sperm donor, Jacob (a college friend of Nate and Leigh's) to Chicago and gives Leigh the opportunity to move one step closer to her parenting goal. The excitement of co-parenting and entering a new phase of family builds for most of the women, but Darcy questions what it would mean to raise a child.
