Moon, Prism, Power! A Sailor Moon Adventure

Join Otherworld Theatre Company as they parody an entire season of the much beloved animated series, Sailor Moon.

SYNOPSIS: A normal female middle school student befriends Luna, a talking black cat, who gives her a magical brooch enabling her to become Sailor Moon, the guardian destined to save Earth from the forces of evil. Soon, an entire team of Sailor Soldiers, along with the dashing Tuxedo Mask, join forces to battle the Dark Kingdom. We will elevate this much beloved 90s anime by taking it to the stage as an interactive hour-long late night production!

CASTING REQUIREMENTS: All roles are available and open to all people. This project promotes body positivity and a representation of diversity both on and off stage. Some male roles may end up being played as a female and by a female, depending on casting and availability.

ROLES: This production will be cast in an ensemble fashion. You will be cast as your "main" character but more than likely play a wide variety of other characters throughout the season as some Sailor Soldiers do not appear in every episode.

Sailor Moon/Serena: The main protagonist, careless with a big heart, she is the Solider of Love and Justice, grows from an immature crybaby to embracing her powers and strength

Luna: A black cat who journeys with Sailor Moon to help her fulfil her destiny, wise, cunning, and humorous

Sailor Jupiter/Lita: She possesses immense physical strength and is a champion fighter. She is the Solider of Thunder and Courage. She lives alone and takes care of herself. She's well versed in hand-to-hand combat.

Sailor Venus/Mina: Her cat companion, Artemis helps the Sailor Soldiers (alongside Luna). She is the Soldier of Love and Beauty and plays as Sailor Moon's bodyguard-decoy as they look very similar.

Other Roles: Queen Beryl, Jadeite, Various Monsters, Princess Diamond, Queen Metalia, DD Girls, Etc.

THE RUN: This show will run weekly during a late night slot at The Public House Theatre, starting in February 2017. It may not run on the same night every month. For example, it may run in February on Thursdays at 9:30 pm and then in March on Sundays at 9:30 pm. Flexibility on this project is a must.

THE SETUP: We are aiming to do an entire season of Sailor Moon. This means we will be doing between 2-4 episodes each month. The episodes are short and will be cut so that the entire length of the performance is approximately 50-60 minutes long. Each month there will be a new 2-4 episodes performed.
