Overshadowed Theatrical Productions announces auditions for a brand new Christmas story, Unexpected Presence!

Unexpected Presence opens up in modern day and introduces Alaina, a young woman struggling with infertility. Her mother, who is in town for Christmas, tries her best to encourage her with the true, intersecting story of two miracle mothers, Elisabeth and Mary, in the Bible. This sends our cast and audience back in time to see for themselves how they handled their unexpected pregnancies and all the joy and conflict that came with them.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, November 1st and Thursday, November 3rd, at Medinah Baptist Church, 900 Foster Ave., Medinah, from 7:00PM to 10PM.

Character List:

Alaina - A young wife struggling with fertility problems, who herself was a miracle baby (20-25)

Nadiya - Alaina's visiting Mother who also struggled with infertility (40+)

Elliot - Alaina's charming and goofy husband (20-30)

Elisabeth - Mary's cousin and Zacharias's wife, a loving, grounded woman (40+)

Mary - the mother of Jesus, Elisabeth's cousin, young, tenderhearted, and innocent, but strong (16-25)

Zacharias - Elisabeth's husband, a priest, slightly doubtful but humbled (40+)

Joseph - Mary's fiance, an upright, levelheaded, dedicated individual (18-30)

Gabriel/Gabe - part time snow plow driver, full time angel (20-30)
