Founded in 1978, Child's Play Touring Theatre exists to realize the value of children's own writing and perform exclusively stories and poems written by young authors. Combining the important, imaginative writings of children with the craftsmanship of professional theatre artists and educators, we created a unique stage where children's voices can be heard, examined and treasured.
We are casting for our 2016 - 2017 season. We both adapt new original work written by children and perform repertory pieces that are produced every year. We are looking for dynamic actors with musical talent who are interested in doing short term national tours in November 2016 and spring 2017. We are looking for people who can play multiple roles and work well as a team.
Piano players are strongly encouraged to audition.
The final rehearsal schedules are being set. The tour will be October 27, October 31 - November 11, and November 25 - November 28. The spring tour is still TBA.
A monologue and a song. Be prepared for cold readings. A piano will be available but no pianist. Please be prepared to sing acapella.
