Teatro Vista announces Equity and Non-Equity auditions for the world premiere of La Havana Madrid by Sandra Delgado, directed by Cheryl Lynn Brue.

La Havana Madrid is an immersive documentary theatre experience inspired by the Latino Caribbean nightclub that once existed on the corner of Belmont and Sheffield. Audiences will be transported back to 1960s Chicago and experience the stories of the clubs patrons and musicians complete with a live band chronicling the history of Caribbean Latino music through the decade from mambo to the birth of salsa.

SEEKING ACTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING LATINO & LATINA ROLES

MARUJA
Colombian. Mid 20s-mid 30s elegant, strong, feminine with an edge. Excellent singer.

HENRY
Colombian. Mid 20s-mid 30s easy going, shy, funny, romantic. Singing ability a plus.

CARLOS
Puerto-Rican, Afro-Latino. Smooth and rough, fast talker, wise. Singing ability a plus.

TONY
Puerto-Rican, 30s -mid 40s dapper, sure of himself, commanding, passionate and generous. Excellent singer.

Pay:
Equity - Tier-1 Contract Non-equity pay is $100 per week

Time Commitment:

First Rehearsal March 21
First Preview April 14
Opening April 21
Closing May 21 (Possible extension to May 28)
Probable Pop-up performances June 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11
