Description:

The Waltzing Mechanics are seeking versatile, creative actors of all types for their annual installment of EL Stories: Holiday Train, directed by Bryan Campbell.

Actors of diverse ethnic backgrounds especially encouraged to submit.

EL Stories, Chicago's hit late-night documentary theatre project, uses real-life transit tales to explore our diverse experiences as we move through this dynamic city.

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals: Begin Monday, October 24th and will run Monday through Thursday from 7pm-10pm. There will be NO rehearsals on Wednesday, November 23rd and Thursday, November 24th.

Tech: Monday, November 21st 6pm-11pm

Performances: Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30pm from November 26th - January 14th. There will be NO performances on December 23rd, 24th and the 31st.

Material To Prepare:

If called, prepare one 90 second contemporary monologue (please no heavy, dramatic pieces; think more serio-comic, easy in tone).

Actors who are singers please prepare a short song -- no longer than 30 seconds, any style.

Please bring one hard copy of your H/R to the audition.
