Playwright/director Vincent Truman and the Viable Theater Company ("Venus Envy", "Killing Angela", "The Observatory") are holding auditions for "Mine", which will have its world premiere at the Chicago Fringe Festival in September 2016. "Mine" charts the journey of an assault survivor as she attempts to reclaim her life, while being haunted by the memory of her assailant.
Available roles: Maria, 40s and up: memory of the protagonist's mother. Chorus, various ages: various memories that come in at various times during the play. Kyle, 20s-30s: potential paramour of the protagonist.
Trigger Warning: this material depicts conversations about assault, and may be triggering to certain individuals.
Auditions: Saturday, July 9, between 1pm and 4pm in Logan Square.
Rehearsals: Mondays and Thursdays throughout the latter half of July and whole of August.
