Dandelion Theatre
Fish Eye

Pay: $100 Stipend

Description:

Auditions for Dandelion Theatre's upcoming production of Fish Eye by Lucas Kavner, directed by Bec Willett.

African-American, Latino/a, and Asian-American actors are particularly encouraged to apply.

Avery (Woman, mid-late 20s. Any ethnicity). Friends with Max and Anna. Gregarious. Ambitious. Outgoing. Funny. Optimistic.

Jay (Man, late 20s. Any ethnicity). Anna's ex. A little more experienced and mature than the other characters. Passionate about the environment. A goofball with substance.

The roles of Anna and Max have already been cast.

About the play:
A funny and emotionally raw portrait of a couple struggling to hold on to one another without losing themselves, Fish Eye explodes the traditional chronology of romance and offers a modern take on the exhilaration of love - when nothing means everything and everything means nothing - and the entire world can shrink down to a single moment.

Please note:
None of the roles require dialects or nudity. The role of Avery requires intimate but clothed scenes and at times, minimal dress (no less than underwear). Dandelion Theatre is committed to creating a safe and professional space for all artists. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to address these with the director at the audition.
