Announcing auditions for "Burn," a play in verse stylized after an action/sci-fi movie--something like "The Thing." The play will be serialized in four parts over August, September, October, and November on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Public House Theatre. The play may then be staged in its entirety at the Public House.

In "Burn," a crew of hotshot wildland firefighters work through the last day of their season and drive across the country back home to Nowhere, New Mexico, stopping only in Las Vegas for an end-of-the-season rager. But when they get back home, things in Nowhere aren't the way they remember--everyone's smoking a strange plant called Queen that seems to take control of their minds. And they'll do anything they can to make the hotshots smoke it, too, up through murder. Can the hotshots stop the Queen and save the town? Or is it already too late?

Many strong roles are available for females and diverse actors.

Auditions will be held at the Public House Theatre, July 9 at 10am. Callbacks are July 10, 10am.
