Description:

BORDER CROSSING by Monica Trausch directed by Laura Nash Stuck on the border of Cambodia and Thailand for the night, a ragtag group of Cambodian and American friends' inability to move forward forces them to confront the reality of sudden death and the secrets they have been hiding from each other. They are faced with culture clash, loss, and the task of moving forward.

Seeking:
Vibol (goes by Vi): 20s, male, Cambodian (open to all South Asian descent.) An eternal optimist. Idealistic, androgynous, and hopeful. Part includes a "talented amateur" level lipsync.

-Narak: late 20s, male, Cambodian (open to all South Asian descent.) Vi's older brother. An eternal realist. Practical, resourceful, and steadfast.

-The Royal Tiger: female dancer with non-western background, preferably Khmer apsara dance. South Asian preferred.

Time Commitment:

The workshop will consist of one read-through to be scheduled around actor availability, a rehearsal on July 9, and a staged reading on July 10.
